Introduction
-
Thank you for your download of UW Wave Animaker!
This software can add underwater bubbles and Wave animations to illustrations.
Please familiarize yourself with this manual before using this software.
This software is freeware. You can access all functions for free.
This program does not use nor overwrite such things as registries and System folders that are difficult to get hold of. If you like to uninstall this program, just use the Recycle Bin.
*If you associate the yura file extension with the system, please remove it if necessary.
System Requirements
OS | Windows7 or greater |
---|---|
CPU | Celeron N4000 or greater |
Memory | 1GB or more Free space |
Display | 800x600 pixels (32bit true color) or greater |
Graphics card | Since this software draws with GDI, it works also normally with on board graphics card. |
How to use
Start up
-
When this software is started for the first time, the language setting is displayed.
In this setting, "UI" means the language of the tool interface. "File system" is a setting to use Japanese for the folder name for saving.
This setting is only once. If you set the wrong language, delete the "language.ini" file generated in this software folder and restart this software.
Open a picture
-
After language setting, the edit screen is displayed soon.
When you directly drop an image file you want to add underwater effects on this screen, you can start editing soon.
You can also open the file from the "Open" button at the top of the screen. (Since the yura file list is displayed on the "Open" screen, switch to the image file list from the pull-down list at the lower right.)
Masking
-
When you open the image file, the entire picture will begin to wave animation. Then, mask the part that does not wave.
You can mask by left dragging on the picture. The masked part will not have any animation effects.
To remove the mask, click on the "Erase" button at the top and apply it.
You can change the thickness of the pen and the magnification of the picture from the track bar on the left side of the screen.
By the way, this editor doesn't have a scroll bar because the picture move is done by right mouse drag.
Save your work
-
You can save the current working status to a yura file by clicking "Save" in the top menu.
If you want to resume your work later, open the yura file from "Open".
Note, this software imports the image file into the yura file itself, so it contains information about the file's exif and path.
Therefore, for privacy reasons, it is not recommended to trade yura files with third parties.
If you want to publish, only image files with animation output are recommended.
Move bubbles
-
You can create a bubble animation by clicking "Bubble" at the top of the screen and dragging the left mouse button for the radius of the bubble from the center where you want the bubble to appear in the picture.
Bubble images are automatically generated, but if you have a self-created bubble image with the same format and same resolution as the base image, add "_buble" to the same file name as the base image, save it in the same location as the base image, and then reload the image.(The image reload button is in the top menu.)
Example:
myimage.png (base image name)
myimage_buble.png (buble image name)
*Even if you use a self-made bubble image, you need to specify the generation point and size of the bubble.
*Bubble images are additive blended.
Update the picture
-
This software imports the image file into the save file itself, so if you create a bubble image in the middle or change the illustration, you must click "Reload" from the top menu to update the illustration data.
At this time, if the image file does not exist, the window for selecting the image file is displayed again.
In addition to updating the illustration, you may need to load multiple variations of the picture from another file.
In that case, you can update the picture from another image file by holding down the Shift key and clicking the "Reload" button.
Adjust the animation
-
You can fine-tune the animation by operating the track bar on the left side of the screen.
Grid X, Y | Decide how many grids to divide the picture and make it wave. The more this is, the more complex and minutely the wave will be. |
---|---|
Zoom | This is the magnification of the picture. |
Power X, Y | Set how much the picture will wave, X and Y respectively. Let's set an appropriate value according to the viewpoint of the illustration. |
Wave Loop Time | Time per loop of animation. As time increases, it moves more slowly and the number of frames increases. |
Random Seed | Changing this value will change the wave direction. Find your favorite wave. |
Buble Loop Time | Sets the bubble animation loop time when bubbles are placed. This is the time from when bubbles are generated until they disappear. When this setting is active, the Wave loop time is automatically adjusted to fit within the Bubble loop time. |
Pen thickness | Set the thickness of the Eraser or Mask pen. |
Fine-tune the bubble
-
When you click “Detail” at the top of the screen, you can set the transparency, appearance, and speed of the bubble. In addition, you can set the amount of bubbles that are generated outside the bubble that is spit out.
Regardless of whether the bubble is automatically generated or a self-made image is loaded, the bubble creates two layers, the bubble with the specified position rises fast, and the surrounding bubbles rise slowly.
Even if you read this complicated explanation, you may not understand it well. It's actually simple, so please understand it while using it.
Output animation
-
Click “Output” at the top to output illustrations in various animation formats.
Select the output format, frame rate and magnification, and click the output button.
When "Show UW Wave Animaker logo" is checked, the logo of this tool is displayed at the lower right of the output image.
If you have the opportunity to support this software, please display it.
FAQ
Q.What is yura format?
-
A.It is a unique format that records the editing status (pictures, masking, bubble settings, etc.) in UW Wave Animaker.
When "Save" is executed in this software, it will be saved in the yura format, so the loaded image file itself will not be overwritten.
And since the yura format is used only by this software, it cannot be opened with other image viewers.
Q.I want to open a yura file with a double click.
-
A.Associate the yura file with UW Wave Animaker. If you double-click the yura file, a window for extension-type association is displayed.
Even if you don't associate it, you can open it by dropping the yura file on this software icon.
Q.Can I sell animations created with UW Wave Animaker?
-
A.If you add animation to your own picture using UW Wave Animaker, you can freely use the output animation image(Gif, Jpg and Png image file) regardless of whether it is paid or free.
At that time, it is not necessary to indicate the license of FoxEye or UW Wave Animaker. (However, Introduction is welcome!)
However, even if you add animation, if you are using a picture drawn by someone else, you must not open to public it. We also prohibit redistribution of UW Wave Animaker itself.
You must not upload or distribute without permission a picture that includes someone else's work. Please enjoy them privately.
Q.What is the difference between "Japanese file system" and "Other than Japanese file system" in language settings?
-
A.When you select the Japanese file system, the name of the folder that will be created in My Documents will be in Japanese.
Please consider whether there is no problem even if a Japanese folder name is generated in your PC.
Q.Buble Loop Time or Wave Loop Time is different from the specified time.
-
A.This tool adjusts the time so that the loop points are smooth.
If Buble Loop Time and Wave Loop Time are not divisible, the time will deviate from the specified time. (However, the loop point becomes smooth.)
And Wave Loop Time cannot be longer than Buble Loop Time.
Q.I updated the illustration, but it remains old on the editor.
-
A.Click the “Reload” button at the top of the screen to update the illustration. Please read Update the picture for details.
Q.Rather than "reload", I want to update with a different illustration in a different file path.
-
A.Hold down the Shift key and click the "Reload" button. (Detail is here)
However, please note that you cannot change only the bubble image.
Q.My own bubble image is not loaded.
-
A.Check the following:
-Save the bubble image file in the same folder as the base image file.
-The file format must be the same file format as the base image file.
-The file name is always the base image file name followed by “_buble”. Take the following as an example:
myimage.png (base image name)
myimage_buble.png (buble image name)
-Make sure that the file name is correct.
-Since the image is not reflected just by placing it, be sure to update the picture from the "Update" button at the top of the screen. -Since the bubble image is additive blending, the blackish bubble is not visible even if it is load. -You can change bubble transparency from "Detail" button. It may not be visible at too thin settings.
